Al-Maktoum College

Al-Maktoum College, is a private institution of higher education, located within the dynamic city of Dundee; a Scottish city well known for its contributions to business, creative arts, life sciences, research and hi-tech manufacturing.

Funded primarily by the Al-Maktoum Foundation, the College’s vision for high quality teaching and learning, enriched by a multicultural perspective makes for a rewarding educational experience. The College aspires to grow as an independent, internationally recognised centre of higher education and works to educate the next generation of professionals, both nationally and internationally.

Its students are achievers - thinking differently, challenging, examining, defining, and provoking positive change within societies and communities. Since its founding in 2001, the College has seen students from over forty different nationalities graduate from its accredited contemporary courses, at a range of levels. Furthermore, the College holds partnerships and is in collaboration with The University of Dundee, Trinity College Dublin and Abertay University, as well as collaborative agreements in place with various other national and international universities and professional bodies, with plans to expand further. Small in size but great in its ambition, the College embraces differences, tolerance and breadth of understanding as the key to meeting the challenges of the 21st Century. Its intellectual endeavours, dedicated to building bridges between the communities - namely ‘Western’ and ‘Muslim’ - has resulted in a diverse, friendly, and international approach to teaching and studying. This makes the College a somewhat unique establishment in Scotland and in the UK today.
