21st Plenary Meeting of the UAE-UK Business Council

It was a real honour to host Rt Hon Kemi Badenoch, Secretary of State for Business and Trade, and HE Khaldoon Al Mubarak, Managing Director and Group CEO of Mubadala, at our Annual Plenary Conference in Abu Dhabi today.

The importance of sustaining and strengthening international trade, and progressing negotIations on a Free Trade Agreement between the UK and the GCC, were key topics of discussion. We also discussed the outcomes of CoP28 and the importance of climate finance in delivering on them, and the opportunities for bilateral engagement in new and emerging sectors, such as AI and genomics.
