New Rules of Origin regulations announced by Saudi Arabia this week will have a potentially significant impact on companies manufacturing products in the UAE, particularly within its free zones, that are then exported to Saudi Arabia. The 18th Plenary Meeting of the UAE-UK Business Council was held on 12 November 2020 - a milestone in the ongoing transformation of the Business Council as it enters its 10th Anniversary Year in 2021. The Meeting was Chaired by HE Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh, Chair of Abu Dhabi Global Markets and Minister of State in the Government of the UAE, and Lord Lister, Chief Strategic Adviser to Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

The United Arab Emirates – United Kingdom Business Council today hosted its Plenary Session in Abu Dhabi. The event was hosted in Abu Dhabi by the two Co-Chairs, His Excellency Ahmed Al Sayegh, Minister of State to the UAE Cabinet and Chairman of Abu Dhabi Global Markets and Lord Lister, Chief Strategic Adviser to UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

The United Arab Emirates – United Kingdom Business Council, at its 17th Plenary Meeting on 28th July 2020, formally appointed Sir Edward Lister, the British Prime Minister's Chief Strategic Advisor, as its UK Co-Chair. He takes over as Co-Chair from Mr Samir Brikho, former CEO of AMEC Foster Wheeler.
