Business Lunch with First Abu Dhabi Bank

October 31, 2023, London

The UAE is the UK's 12 biggest export market and its 19th biggest trading partner. Bilateral trade is now worth over £23bn a year. That's why the GCC-UK Free Trade Agreement negotiations are so important. We were delighted to hear more on this from the Earl of Minto, the Minister of State for Regulatory Reform at the Department for Business and Trade, at our recent briefing lunch for business leaders that we hosted in London in partnership with First Abu Dhabi Bank. The bank's presentations made it clear that the UAE and the wider Gulf region are on course for delivering strong growth over the year ahead, and that CoP28 will generate new momentum for commercial engagement between the UAE and the UK in the areas of decarbonisation and sustainability.

We are very grateful to FAB for co-hosting this event with us and to the UAE Embassy in London and the Department for Business and Trade for their much-valued support and participation.
