In partnership with the UAE Ministry of Culture and Youth, UAE Ministry of Economy, UK Department for International Trade, and the British Council, we conducted the second in a series of webinars to help UK creatives and SMEs work in and with the UAE.

The UAE-UK Business Council celebrated its 10th Anniversary Plenary meeting at the Emirates Flight Training Academy, hosted by the Mohammed bin Rashid Aerospace Hub.

The UAE-UK Business Council partnered with the UK Department of International Trade (DIT) to deliver a series of panel discussions on potential for UK-UAE collaboration in AI and on how to create the right environment as well as a regulatory infrastructure for success in AI.

The UUBC hosted UAE Economy Minister HE Abdulla bin Touq Al Mari in London on September 21.

On September 14th the UAE-UK Business Council and The Emirates Society co-hosted an online event to explore the future business and investment relationship between the UAE and the UK, as well as ways to drive greater growth and collaboration domestically and internationally by opening new markets.

The UUBC hosted this online event focussed on hydrogen, a promising Energy of the Future. Attendees joined a panel of Experts who provided an overview of the policies adopted by the UAE and UK, and how this impacts the hydrogen ecosystem, including the various forms of hydrogen that will take us on this journey.

The United Nations Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) calls the global food system “the single largest driver of environmental degradation and transgression of planetary boundaries”. On July 28th we will be bringing together industry experts, senior Government representatives and innovative start-ups from the UK and UAE to share insights on how we can better manage food and waste across the supply chain. The UAE-UK Business Council joined the Department for International Trade in hosting a webinar on STEM for Energy. We had a great line-up of speakers including representatives from Masdar, BP, Heriot-Watt University, EVERFI, Khalifa University and Sciencescope Ltd.

The UAE-UK Business Council partnered with New York University Abu Dhabi, The Oxford Commission on Constitutions and the Oxford Cyber Academy Centre on a major programme of events to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the UAE.

The UAE-UK Business Council hosted its second event of the year on March 18th where our panellists held a Round Table on the very thought provoking and important topic on TVET in the UK and the UAE.

The UAE – UK Business Council hosted its first event of the year on January 28th where we brought together a high-level panel of speakers to discuss new opportunities for collaboration between the UAE and the UK in the Infrastructure Sector.
